SUNDAY AUGUST 12, 1984
- 11 p.m. to 11:30 p.m: Lisa Rinker last seen leaving her mother’s home at 2911 Wickersham Way, Falls Church, VA.
MONDAY AUGUST 13, 1984
- Lisa is reported missing by her father, George Rinker.
- Witnesses see Lisa Rinker with Danny Heath in his car at 7-Eleven store that night.
- Danny Heath’s car is spotted parked on the side of the road near the spot where Lisa’s body was later found.
SATURDAY AUGUST 18, 1984
- Lisa’s flip-flops found on side of road by Danny Heath.
SUNDAY AUGUST 19, 1984
- 4:40 p.m. Lisa’s body is found in heavily wooded area near Shreve Road and Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA. Lisa was found only 60 yards from the edge of the road.
MONDAY AUGUST 20, 1984
- Danny Heath interviewed by police
TUESDAY AUGUST 21, 1984
- Medical Examiner performs autopsy on Lisa Rinker
FRIDAY AUGUST 24, 1984
- Lisa Rinker is laid to rest at King David Memorial in Merrifield, Falls Church, VA.
JANUARY 1987
- Lisa Rinker’s body is exhumed and examined for skeletal trauma by Bill Rodriguez. The examination reveals seven knife marks in different parts of Lisa’s ribs and sternum, plus defensive wounds on both hands. The knife marks were found to have been made by a thin-bladed knife.
DECEMBER 10, 2009
- Vernard Woody (aka Bernie Woody) dies of cancer. He was never charged with Lisa’s murder.
